A Dynamic Opening Keynote – Joan Lunden
Women’s Health & Wellness Advocate Joan Lunden Will Present the Opening Keynote at HRE’s Health & Benefits Leadership Conference

Lunden, an award-winning journalist, best-selling author and breast cancer survivor will discuss wellness in the workplace and the importance of caregiving support for employees.

From 1980 through 1997 Lunden served as the longest-running female host ever on morning TV while co-hosting Good Morning America. In June 2014, Lunden was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. She endured chemotherapy, radiation and surgery and wanted to turn her health problem into an opportunity to help others.

The keynote, Caregiving Support in the Workplace: A Wakeup Call for Employers, will be presented on Wednesday, April 15. As a member of the sandwich generation, Lunden has faced caregiving responsibilities for her children and her parents, and she knows just how important assistance can be.
